DSLR Assistant is a camera control software which allows to operate a Canon EOS digital camera from a Mac computer remotely using USB or Firewire cable.
It offers a comprehensive set of features that allows to control practically all camera parameters, key settings and shooting functions remotely.
DSLR Assistant automates the process of downloading and saving pictures on the computer. Images taken remotely can be saved directly to the Mac hard drive; there is no need for concern about changing the camera's CompactFlash memory card during remote shooting. In addition images are automatically organized, so you will need no time to find images you want.
Any photographer is able to improve workflow efficiency using our camera remote control software product. DSLR Assistant is very user friendly and easy to use.

Main Features

Parameters Take control of your camera.  Control most camera parameters, including but not limited to resolution, shutter speed and aperture, white balance, ISO, metering modes. While it is still possible to set all options in the camera, it often makes more sense to work on the larger computer screen and to make the changes remotely.	Tethered shooting. Remote capture using Canon camera connected to your Mac and take pictures directly onto the hard drive. One of the most useful functions for studio photographers or anyone needing to work remotely with their camera. All procedures from shooting to saving images are smoothly processed.
Interval Shooting Interval shooting. Allows you to take a picture at a given interval for a certain period of time. This feature could be useful for time-lapse photographers.	Focus Stacking Focus stacking. Focus stacking is a technique used to increase depth of field in a resulting image by combining multiple shots taken at different focus distances. DSLR Assistant automates the process of capturing a series of images at different focal depths.
Bulb Exposure Bulb shooting. Allows you to make the shutter completely manual so that you can ensure that your shutter is opened throughout the time required for your composition.	LiveView mode. DSLR Assistant supports LiveView mode of most modern Canon EOS cameras. Enables framing of shots without the need to look through the camera's viewfinder, you may use Mac screen instead.
Manual focus Manual focus. Camera lens can easily be focused remotely using DSLR Assistant. This feature is available only in LiveView mode.	Exif Info Preview EXIF information. DSLR Assistant presents information embedded in image files (EXIF data) describing different parameters digital camera used while taking a shot.
Large high quality previews of shots. Take advantage of large Mac screen. DSLR Assistant allows you or your customers to view pictures during shooting. See all image's nuances instantly. You finally have the ability to verify 100% of the time that focus, exposure, lighting, and of course composition are all the way you want them.	Library Organize shots. Sorting through your existing photo collection can be daunting, especially if your photos are saved all over your computer. DSLR Assistant will help you easily organize them. Taken images are downloaded and cataloged automatically on your hard drive. No need to swap memory cards while shooting to see the results.
Histogram RGB and individual channel histograms. Allows you to judge the entire tonal distribution at a glance. Evaluate taken images and determine what might be needed to correct them.	Highlights Flashing highlights. When you preview a photograph you have taken, the overexposed portions of the image are blinking. Now it is much easier to identify blown areas.
Focus Points Show focus points on taken shots. Allows you to enable an overlay that shows focus points used by the camera when recording the picture. It also highlights which point was active. Ensure that all certain parts of image are in focus and you've got the perfect shot.	Intuitive, straightforward and user friendly interface. Highly customizable and configurable user interface allows you to easily control a Canon camera from your Mac. You will need no time to grasp how to use DSLR Assistant.
