Terms of Use

These Terms of Use cover your use of the DSLR Assistant website (dslrassistant.com) and your purchase of a DSLR Assistant Pro subscription or Lifetime license. They don't cover your license to use the DSLR Assistant software itself — that's governed by Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement, which applies automatically to every app distributed through the Mac App Store, DSLR Assistant included. You can read it on Apple's website.

Getting the app

DSLR Assistant is distributed exclusively through the Mac App Store. We don't offer downloads anywhere else, and we don't accept payment for the app anywhere else.

Pro subscriptions and Lifetime purchases

• Pro is available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Price and billing period are always shown before you pay, inside the app.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• New subscribers may be eligible for a 14-day free trial. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription before the trial ends.
• Subscriptions are billed by and managed entirely through your Apple Account. We cannot issue refunds, extend trials, or cancel a subscription on your behalf — Apple handles all of that. See Managing your subscription in our Help center, or Apple's own subscription support page.
• A Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no recurring billing and nothing to cancel.

Acceptable use

Use DSLR Assistant for its intended purpose: connecting to and operating a compatible Canon EOS camera. Don't try to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app outside the Mac App Store, and don't use it in a way that violates any applicable law.

No warranty

DSLR Assistant is provided "as is." We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free or compatible with every camera, cable, or Mac configuration. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties beyond those Apple requires us to honor as part of the Mac App Store terms.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, KAAsoft is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of DSLR Assistant, including lost photos or footage. Always verify your camera is saving images correctly, especially for events that can't be reshot.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Continuing to use the app or website after a change means you accept the update. We'll change the "Last updated" date above whenever that happens.
