Manage your subscription

Last updated: September 13, 2026

DSLR Assistant is sold through the Mac App Store, so Apple handles all billing. There's no separate DSLR Assistant account — your purchase belongs to your Apple Account, and that's where you manage it.

See or cancel your subscription

The quickest way: in DSLR Assistant, choose DSLR Assistant → Manage Subscription…. It opens your subscription settings directly. The item appears only while you have a subscription.

Or do it without opening the app:

  • On your Mac: open the App Store, click your name in the bottom-left corner, then Account Settings. Next to Subscriptions, click Manage.
  • On iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.

There you can see when it renews and cancel it. We can't cancel a subscription on your behalf — only you can, through your Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple too: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

What happens when you cancel

Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn't switch Pro off straight away. Pro stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before it starts.

After Pro ends, everything you've shot stays in your library, and all the free features keep working.

Restore Pro on a new Mac

If you reinstall DSLR Assistant, move to a new Mac, or Pro doesn't show as active:

  1. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you used to buy Pro.
  2. In DSLR Assistant, choose DSLR Assistant → Restore Purchases.

This works for subscriptions and for the Lifetime purchase. A Lifetime purchase is paid once — there's nothing to renew or cancel, and it has no Manage Subscription item.

If Restore Purchases says no purchases were found, check that the App Store is signed in with the right Apple Account — it's easy to have a separate one for purchases.
